What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a way to straighten your teeth using clear, custom-made plastic trays — called aligners — instead of metal braces. You wear each set for about a week or two, then switch to the next one. Slowly, your teeth move into place.
They’re nearly invisible, you can take them out to eat or brush, and most people don’t even notice you’re wearing them. It’s why Invisalign has become the go-to choice for adults — and for teens who don’t want a mouth full of metal.
“Most of our Invisalign patients tell us the same thing: they wish they’d done it years ago. It’s a lot easier than they expected.”
Why people love Invisalign
- Nearly invisible. Co-workers, friends, even close family often don’t notice.
- Removable. Take them out to eat, drink, brush, and floss — no food restrictions.
- Comfortable. No wires poking your cheeks, no brackets to break.
- Fewer office visits. Most people only come in every 6–10 weeks for a quick check.
- Easier to keep clean. Brushing and flossing is exactly the same as before.
- You can preview your results. We can show you a 3D simulation of your new smile before you start.
What Invisalign can fix
More than people realize. Invisalign now works for almost everything traditional braces can handle:
- Crowded or crooked teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Overbites, underbites, and crossbites
- Teeth that shifted after you wore braces years ago
- Mild to moderate bite issues
For more complex cases, Dr. Chin will give you a straight answer about whether Invisalign is right for you — or whether another option would serve you better.
How the process works
1. Free consultation
We’ll take a quick 3D scan of your teeth (no goopy molds) and Dr. Chin will let you know if Invisalign is a good fit. We can usually show you a digital preview of your final smile right there.
2. Your custom aligners
Once you decide to move forward, your aligners are made specifically for your teeth. We’ll show you how to wear them and answer every question.
3. Wear them, switch them, smile
Wear each set for about 20–22 hours a day, switching to the next every 1–2 weeks. Come in for a quick check every 6–10 weeks so we can make sure everything’s on track.
4. Enjoy your new smile
Treatment usually takes 6–18 months. After that, you’ll wear a retainer at night to keep everything in place. That’s it.
